SECOND TEMPLE
The Book of Jasher
A narrative retelling of biblical history from creation to the judges. The book named in Joshua and 2 Samuel is lost; this is a later work bearing the same name.
The Book of Jasher runs to 91 chapters, 3,910 verses. The whole of it is held here and free to read, searchable by reference or by the words in it.
The edition held here is Moses Samuel (1840) (1840), in English, in the public domain, from Wikisource.
It sits on the estate's shelf of 106 sacred works, beside the complete Douay-Rheims Bible, an atlas of the places named in scripture, a timeline and a genealogy.
