BUDDHISM
The Diamond Sūtra
A short Perfection of Wisdom sutra. The Dunhuang copy of 868 CE is the oldest dated printed book known.
The Diamond Sūtra runs to 32 sections, 95 passages. The whole of it is held here and free to read, searchable by reference or by the words in it.
The edition held here is Gemmell (1912) (1912), in English, in the public domain, from Project Gutenberg.
It sits on the estate's shelf of 106 sacred works, beside the complete Douay-Rheims Bible, an atlas of the places named in scripture, a timeline and a genealogy.
