The Masnavi
Rumi’s long Persian poem of teaching stories, central to the Sufi tradition.
The Masnavi runs to 6 books, 172 passages. The whole of it is held here and free to read, searchable by reference or by the words in it.
The edition held here is Whinfield (1898) (1898), in English, in the public domain, from Wikisource.
It sits on the estate's shelf of 106 sacred works, beside the complete Douay-Rheims Bible, an atlas of the places named in scripture, a timeline and a genealogy.
